A Confederacy of Dunces - John Kennedy Toole

Cover

What I Already Knew
To be honest, I knew barely anything about this book.  I'd seen the cover several times, but had no idea what to make of this fat, green-hatted, character with his...parrot?  However, I figured it had to be on the Classics shelf for a reason, and the reviews on the back were glowing. Maybe this would be good after all.

An Introduction

Hi everyone!

For those that don't know, I'm Katie, just another denizen of the Web.  Recently, my local library had a remodel, and in a random decision, when I went in last week, I pulled three books off of the Classics shelf and decided to read them. It occurred to me that this could be a fun project to do reviews/thought posts on these books that supposedly have stood the test of time.

Now, my first two books for the blog itself are A Confederacy of Dunces and a collection of Robert Louis Stevenson stories including The Strange Case of Doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.  After these  however, I'm going to try to stay organized and just work through the Classics shelf alphabetically by last name of the author.

I don't know how far I'll get with this, but at least it's a start.  Cheers!

NOTE: I'll be doing a full summary of each book I read.  If this bothers you for spoiler reasons, I apologize in advance.
